Gents desirable rare Omega Speedmaster 125 in stainless steel Ref# 378.0801. Limited to 2,000 pieces, this watch was made to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Omega brand which started in 1848. The calibre 1041 movement driving this watch was the world’s first chronometer-certified automatic chronograph. The case dimensions are 42 mm x 51 mm including the lugs. Interestingly the movement, dial, and crystal are inside a round case that is then contained within the outer shell case. On the original stainless steel bracelet with a deployant clasp. This watch will fit up to a 6.5″ wrist. Smooth bezel with sapphire crystal, the black ring tachymetre is under the crystal. Self-winding movement with sub-seconds, date, and chronograph. Black dial with white hands and painted luminescent hour markers. CIrca 1973. Very Good condition.
